Alan Jackson's Like Red on a Rose is this weeks number one on the ChartCountry Top 40, becoming Alan's eighth CC number one, a new record for the chart.

Alan's eight, surpases Keith Urban, who holds seven number ones.

At two is SHeDAISY after a three week run at the top, with George Strait dropping to number three.

Keith Urban may not have to wait too long to tie AJ's record, he sits at number four for the second straight week.

Three consecutive weeks for Alan Jackson's Like red on a Rose, at the top of the ChartCountry Top 40.

Alan now has a collective 15 weeks at number one for all singles, and ranks third on the artists stat list, 6 behind Blake Shelton at number two.

At two this week are Brooks and Dunn, a single that seems to have the ascendancy to reach number one, scoring well in all facets of voting over the past few weeks.

Sugarland's Want To single, sits at number three after just three weeks in the chart, full credit to the duo for a smash single!

Rounding out the top four is Diamond Rio, with God Only Cries continuing it's 21 week stay, and peaking well in the past few weeks.

That doesn't surprise me at all. Alan has always been very consecutive with his music and staying on the charts. He has such a huge fan base and I am actually pleased that he passed Keith Urban. I like Keith Urban but he is not "LONG LEGGED ALAN"....... You go Alan
