Hello-

Does anyone remember a country song about a woman turning 30 or 35.  She is single and meeting her girlfriends at a restaurant.  She doesn't want her mom to worry.  She talks about having chances when she was younger but thought something better was out there.  I thought it was Rosanne Cash but I can't find the song.

Thanks for any help.

Please email me at joannmc78@yahoo.com if you can help.  Thanks again.

Sorry, don't know the song just "bumping up the post" so others can see it. Maybe someone else knows the answer.

Yes, I remember that song and a lady singing it.  As a matter of fact, I seen it on CMT.Canada the other day.  Can't put a face or name to it yet but I will.  There is a line in it that goes something like this "All the good ones are gone Mama butu I just can't take the first one that comes along" or something like that.  Yes, now I remember, it is Pam Tillis but I still can't remember the name of the song.  But I will get baqck to you when I do remember.

Sincerely,

Patrick

Yes Joann, it is Pam Tillis's song and it is titled "All The Good Ones Are Gone" and it is about a lady 30-35 years old trying to find Mr. Right but feeling pressure from everyone to marry the first man to come along. Hope this helps.

Sincerely,
Patrick

**Here are the lyrics to the song**

All The Good Ones Are Gone
(Dean Dillon/Bob McDill)
(Track 2 - Time 3:16)

(from Pam Tillis' Greatest Hits Album)

She'll turn thirty-four this weekend
She'll go out with her girlfriends
They'll drink some margaritas, cut up and carry on
There'll be guys and there'll be come ons
She'll probably get hit on
But she thinks all the good ones are gone

She's got friends down at the office
And she can't help but notice
That when the day is over
How they all hurry home
Every day there's guys she works with
And even some she flirts with
But it seems like all the good ones are gone

And her mama called this mornin'
Said I'm worried about my baby
I wish you had a family of your own
She said mom it's not that easy
You make it sound so simple
But you can't take the first man that comes along

Once she had someone who loved her
Back when she was younger
Now she wonders if she held out
A little bit too long
Back then there were so many
Now there just aren't any
It seems like all the good ones are gone

And her mama called this mornin'
Said I'm worried about my baby
I wish you had a family of your own
She said mom it's not that easy
You make it sound so simple
But you can't take the first man that comes along

She'll turn thirty-four this weekend
She'll go out with her girlfriends
They'll drink some margaritas, cut up and carry on

Sorry for the colors, that's how they were from the site I copied them from & couldn't figure out how to change it.
