Sugarland have the top spot again, from Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban.
Listening audience is up again from the previous week, making it three consecutive rises in listeners, thanks for that guys!
After last weeks ratings, CC Radio is in the top 40 online country stations from around the world. We are also the only rated online station in Australia playing country. All spins and audience levels are reported to Billboard and R&R, meaning the more you listen, and here your song, the higher it moves up the major charts too.
We change our HIGH and Mid rotation singles each week, determined by what is happening on the CC40, so if you've got the number one single for eg, your going to get more airplay than a single that drops 20 spots in a week. Airplay is also based on your ratings, by giving thumbs up or down, eg, Lights Of My Hometown by Aaron Lines has not made the Top40 yet, but has been getting a lot of Thumbs Up, giving it more airplay (hence the 14th on this weeks Airplay chart)
Finally, the AIR PLAY chart is sorted first by listening audience, then by rotations. So not only is the amount of times we play a song important, but so too is the number of you guys tuning in. We are also governed by laws stipulating the frequency of various songs, artists, albums etc, meaning that we can't play the same single over and over again to move it up the chart.
speaking of ratings, we came in 38th this week out of 87 online country stations, which is identical to last week. Good news is our audience number have risen for the third week in a row
