There were a lot a great songs out in 2005. Of course, I have to say Toby Keith's 'Ain't As Good As I Once Was' would be my favorite with Trace Adkins 'Honkytonk Badonkadonk' coming in a close second. Another favorite is Josh Turner's 'Your Man'. Love that deep voice! And 'Come a Little Closer' & 'Lot of Leavin Left To Do' by Dierks Bentley were great too. My favorite by a female would have to be 'My Give A D***'s Busted' by JoDee Messina. As you can see, I go more for the upbeat songs.
I have too many to name. Some of my favorites were Your Man by Josh Turner,Tequilla makes her clothes fall off by Joe Nichols,Goodbye Time by Blake Shelton,Play something country by Brooks&Dunn, & Georgia Rain by Trisha Yearwood
