Top country music group Lonestar will
perform a USO show for troops stationed at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi,
Miss., Nov. 4. This special performance is open only to military personnel
and their families. For the sixth consecutive year, the band is nominated for
the Country Music Association's Vocal Group of the Year. This year's award
will be handed out during the awards ceremony Nov. 15 on CBS. Home of the
81st Training Wing, Keesler Air Force Base is a major player in Hurricane
Katrina relief efforts. Lonestar volunteered to perform the USO show after
learning the base's annual air show was cancelled due to the devastating
storm.
