MULTI-PLATINUM ARTIST KEITH URBAN MAKES IMPACT WORLDWIDE AND ROCKS EUROPE ON CURRENT SOLD-OUT TOUR
Oct 24

New York, NY - October 24, 2005 - With certified multi-platinum album sales worldwide, Keith Urban's music continues to make an impact both at home and abroad including an internationally platinum concert DVD Livin' Right Now, the current #1 hit single "Better Life" co-written and produced by Urban, four CMA nominations and sold-out "Alive in '05" tours of the U.S, Canada and Australia. This month, Urban continues to wow audiences worldwide with his electrifying, sold-out "Days Go By" tour of the UK and Germany.

Receiving critical praise along the way, the UK's Independent said the following about his show, "[London's] Hammersmith Apollo is filled with ecstatic fans of all ages, who know every word of his songs. They love him for his country-flavored rock anthems, heartfelt power ballads and wholesome sentiments...he's also an exceptional guitarist." Urban's attendance numbers in each city have doubled since his last visit to Europe, with reports of enthusiastic fans camping outside venues to get their spot in the legendary European rock halls where Keith is performing.

Just two days prior to embarking for the European leg, Urban was put on temporary vocal rest for a hemorrhage on his vocal fold, which forced him to cancel the last night on the first leg of his U.S. tour. After a follow-up appointment with his doctor, Urban was cleared for travel, and upon arrival, was cleared by a London doctor to continue his tour. Kicking off the tour in Birmingham, UK at the Carling Academy, Urban has continued on to perform 9 shows in just 11 days, including appearances in London, Dublin, Glasgow, Hamburg, Berlin, Koln, and Munich.

Urban is the reigning CMA Male Vocalist Of The Year and has co-written or produced seven #1 hits including "Days Go By," "Better Life," "Who Wouldn't Wanna Be Me," "But For The Grace Of God," and "Somebody Like You," which spent a record-setting eight consecutive weeks at the top of the charts. Urban was also recently nominated by the CMA for Entertainer of the Year (his first nomination in the category), Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year for Be Here, and Music Video of the Year for Days Go By. The 39th Annual Country Music Association (CMA) Awards will be held for the first time in New York on November 15.

Urban will embark on the second U.S leg of his Alive in '05 tour on Nov. 3rd at the Gund Arena in Cleveland, OH.
