At a recent show in Texas, Jeff Bates encountered a 6'5', rough and tough looking fan who said, 'I have to talk to you. Come here.' Bates hesitantly approached hoping that he hadn't done something to make the gentleman angry. Turns out the fan just wanted to thank Bates for saving his marriage.
After hearing the hit single 'Long Slow Kisses,' the gentleman realized that he hadn't been treating his wife as he should. He called his wife and had her take off the rest of the day from work. When she got home, he ran her a bubble bath, lit some candles, put 'Long Slow Kisses' on the stereo and told his wife, 'This is how I feel about you.' A few minutes later when he walked back in the room, his wife was crying and their marriage has never been better.
