CALGARY — Host Paul Brandt will perform at the CCMA awards next month, and Ian Tyson and Corb Lund will also take the stage in a special tribute to Alberta’s centennial year.
The Canadian Country Music Association released its initial list of performers Monday for the awards, which will be held Sept. 12 at the Pengrowth Saddledome in Calgary.
Brandt is nominated for six awards.
Others who are slated to perform include the Road Hammers, and other multiple nominees: George Canyon, Terri Clark, Carolyn Dawn Johnson and the Manitoba band Doc Walker.
International country star Dierks Bentley, who is currently touring, will also present and perform on the show.
The awards will be broadcast on CBC, and will also be seen in the U.S. and for the first time on the Country Music Channel in Australia.
