In the first match, Trace Adkins pulled off a surprise win over one of this year's favourites, SHeDaisy, with a three vote margin at the round's conclusion.

Match two saw another favourite, Keith Urban, get home against a surprising result from Steve Holy. Holy's "Good Morning Beautiful" actually lead for part of the week, before keith's fan's got him home for the win.
