Carrie Underwood takes the first number one of 2007, as "Before He Cheats" moves into the top spot , giving her a second CC number one in the process. Carrie's previous number one, "Jesus Take the Wheel", spent one week at the top in 2006.
Joe Nichols moves into number two, with last weeks number one, "I Don't Want to" by Ashley Monroe at three, and Martina McBride slotting into four.
For the second week running, Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats" sits on top of the ChartCountry weekly Top 40, becoming Carrie's most successful single on the chart to date, after "Jesus Take the Wheel" spent one week there last year.
Joe Nichols holds down second for the second straight week (the only male artist in the top 5 this week), with Kellie Pickler's debut single, "Red High Heels" continuing it's strong run, topping this weeks email voting, and ending the week at number three.
Ashley Monroe rounds out this weeks 4 from 40, with a former number one, "I Don't Want to".
