I went to see Trace Adkins last week. Great show, but I still think Toby Keith puts on the best show. In the past year I've seen Trace, Toby, Lee Ann Womak, Rascal Flatts, Blake Shelton, Jeff Bates, Billy Currington, & Mark Chesnutt. All very good shows!
Tomorrow, I will try to get tickets for George Strait to see him in Ottawa, Ontario next June and my friend applied to get tickets for Alan Jackson through its fan club...he's coming to Orillia, Ontario in May.

If you think these Country Music stars above put on a good show, then you should attend a show given by Tracy Lawrence. He makes the place rock so that his music and the roar of the Fans literally lift the roof of the place. The stars mentioned above are all good as well but they are nto Tracy Lawrence.
WOOHOO... I got FRONT ROW seats to see George in Ottawa... I'm so excited
Congratulations on getting your tickets to see George, Tracy and Miranda in Ottawa. Should be a great show. Are they sold out of tickets at this show in Ottawa? I have tickets to see George, Tracy and Miranda at the Copps Coliseum in Hamilton.
now that makes me so jealous! i've always wanted to see George in concert !
Mike, don't know if he will ever get to Australia. Would be good for you guys down there. Why don't you try to take a vacation some time in the future to the USA to take in George and see the sights if you never been to the USA before this. We have lots of Austrilian imports here that are doing really good in the music business as well-e.g. Keith Urban, Sherrie Austin, Jamie O'Neill, Tamika Tyler-Nashville Star). Am I missing anyone? A lot of movie stars here from Australia as well. George Strait is supposed to be really good in concert. Had the biggest record draw with over 68,000 fans for one show at the Houston Astrodome.
who was the last person you saw in concert? i saw adam brand just this past week in Tamworth
To get back to your original question before I got sidetracked with all the excitement about other members here and myself getting Geroge Strait tickets, George Jones was the last Concert that I attended. That was just before Christmas 2005. I have tickets to see Brad Paisley and Terri Clarke in March and have tickets to George, Tracy and Miranda in June 2005. I tried to get tickets for Alan Jackson but were sold out before I could get any. I may try to get tickets to see Leanne Womack in Orillia in April 2006.
went and saw Kasey Chambers in Canberra last weekend. Just more proof that she is the number one female artist in Australia, regardless of genre. Fantastic show, and one of the few artists that actually sound better live, rather than on a cd.

There are only a few Country Music artists that sound better on stage than on their CD's. George Strait, Tracy Lawrence, Reba McEntire and a few others can do it. If you say that she is the same as George, etc. above then that is great. I am going to have to pick up her CD. Which CD(s) do you recommend, Mike? I would like to see Kasey Chambers in person at a concert. Hope some day that she comes to Canada for a Tour. Besides being a great singer, she is one very classy and beautiful lady-I looked at her site on cmt.com with all her photos, etc. Australia, with its small population base, sure does make a lot of beautiful ladies.

I got side tracked there for a minute with my last reply when the great and very beautiful Kasey Chambers was brought up.
Anyway the last concert(s) that I have been to were 2 of George Strait's shows this past summer 2006 in Ontario, Canada. Attended a Dwight Yoakam show in downtown Toronto in October 2006 and the Legends of Country Music show (Kitty Wells, Johnny Wright, Bobby Wright, Stonewall Jackson, Roy Clarke and Jean Sheppard) in downtown Hamilton in early November 2006. I got tickets to see Dierks Bentley, Doc Walker and Eric Church in downtown Hamilton in January 2007. Attended a lot of other Country Music shows in early 2006 as well. And also Dwight Yoakam is another singer who is just as good in person as on his CD's like Kasey Chambers, George Strait, etc.
Pat, i'd probably recommend Wayward Angel as a must have from Kasey. It has a lot of great tracks on it, and shows her maturity as a singer. Her earlier albums, like The Captain, have a more rootsy sound to them, similiar sounding to her days with the Dead Ringer Band, and are also a great pickup. Kasey's latest album, Carnival, has more of a cross over sound to it, and even has a track that sounds more like a dance hit, rather than the country we're used to (she played this single in concert, and have to admit, i liked it too).
Don't know whether you've managed to get hold of any of Adam Brand's cd's, but Get Loud is one of my picks of this year, if you get the chance, grab this one!
Have any of y'all seen a concert by Sugarland? Now there is a high energy show. I saw them last year and they rock! I recommend them to anyone who loves country music!

Went to see Emerson Drive and Carter's Chord last week. They were both excellent! All the guys in ED looked like they were having sooooo much fun! :) And they sounded great too. I kinda felt sorry for Carter's Chord since they didn't have a backup band. It was just the 3 girls a guitar and a keyboard, but it was cool. Pure music. They have a terrific sound and I'm looking forward to hearing more from them.
The last concert that my and I attended was Carrie Underwood and Josh Turner about 4 weeks ago in Hamilton, Ontario Canada at the Copps Colesium. Don't care much for Carrie but Josh was really great.
The last person that I got to see was my most favorite singer James Otto on January 31, 2011 which was my second time seeing him.
God bless you and him always!!!
Holly
P.S. Here is one of the five clips from the show that went up over at the You Tube website. I was standing just a little bit to his left and my right of his microphone.
