Tracy Lawrence has scored his second ChartCountry number one this week, with the ballad, "Used to the Pain" sitting on top of the chart after eleven weeks.

Tracy's former number one was the hit, "Paint Me a Birminghham", which spent five weeks at the top, including three consecutively.

Alan Jackson continues to sit at number two, with Randy Travis up to three with "Angels" and Billy Currington moving back up to number four.

I am really glad to see him at the top. I guess that proves who the fans want at #1 and who Nashville want's at #1. I hope his new single "If I don't make it back" stays a very long time at the top, where tracy belongs.

Mike, when will we be able to vote for "If I Don't Make It Back" on Chartcountry?  I think that this single will go to Number 1 on Chartcountry.

Sincerely,

Patrick

The big George Strait / Tracy Lawrence Tour has started folks with 2 shows completed in Des Moines, Iowa and St. Paul, Minnesota.  Keep your eyes and ears tuned for this Tour to come to Ontario, Canada after shows are finished in the Prairie Provinces.

Sincerely,

Patrick

Here are some comments that a member on another board had to say about one of the George Strait, Tracy Lawrence and Miranda Lambert shows that she attended in the USA:

Sincerely,

Patrick

biggrin.gifFirst, This was the first place I ever met the Man, Tracy Lawrence.... I have seen him a thousand times since then... and from a fans point of veiw....you got the complete 'PACKAGE' with this guy....

I didn't go back stage...biggrin.gif.I couldn't....trust me guys... I just couldn't ... I gave my backstage pass to a little old lady... I call "my adopted Sexy Grandma...." She got to meet Tracy for the first time and she never stopped smiling... she was in AWE..... biggrin.gif (I made a huge fan, and so did Tracy Lawrence....)

Ok now to the show... Miranda Lambert opened.... I can't speak negative about a person... just say... she was the odd ball of the show... her music didn't quite fit the rest of the night.... unsure.gif

Tracy Lawrence took the stage... and the fans couldn't stop screaming...I mean SCREAMING..... Tracy said," Fresno I guess you guys are glad to have me back?" and " The crowd went NUTS.....****!!!

it was HIT AFTER HIT AFTER HIT... and the memories, that poured thru my mind with every song... just kept the tears flowing down my cheeks... I haven't seen Tracy since 2001... so I took in everything....He has gained a little weight since the last time I saw him... but "THE VOICE.." IS STILL THE SAME.... tongue.gif biggrin.gif

then he sang his new single... and HE STARTED CRYING ON STAGE... AND THE LIGHTS WENT OUT.... it took him a couple minutes to get it back together.. to ROCK THE HOUSE SOME MORE.... and i got to tell you... we didn't want him to leave... I think he could tell... cause I don't think Tracy wanted to leave either....

Then George Strait....came out and George he never stopped ( he was a little under the weather though, cause you could hear it in his voice).... hit after hit... and the crowd...HEHEHE... MELLOWED DOWN.... cool.gif California loves George and George loves California... biggrin.gif

The show was awesome.. i can't tell everyone in here enough to take the time to go see it.... biggrin.gif tongue.gif

I just loved it....I wanna do it again... and again and again

Hugs Y'all

NO, SORRY. BLAKE SHELTON STILL BEATS THEM ALL. WHY CAN'T ANYONE SEE THE TALENT THAT HE HAS. IS EVERYONE BLIND? I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND IT.

No, Zud, Blake is not there yet but he will be given another 5 or 6 years under his belt.  Believe me when I say this.  I have been listening to country music a lot of years now and it is no doubt that Blade Shelton is a good Traditional Country music singer.  It has been reported by sources and people in the know that Joe Nichols, Josh Turner, Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley,Susan Haynes, Miranda Lambert and a couple of other younger traditional country music singers will be taking over from George, Alan, Tracy, Travis, Reba, Patty, Pam, Clint, etc. and carrying the Traditional Country Music Torch and Flag into the future.

Sincerely,

Patrick

WELL, I CERTAINLY HOPE SO. I JUST FEEL THAT HE HASN'T GOTTEN THE CREDIT THAT HE DESERVES. THERE IS AN AWARDS SHOW COMING UP IN APRIL, I CAN'T MENTION THE NAME. AND BLAKE WASN'T NOMINATED ONCE. THAT JUST DOESN'T MAKE SENSE TO ME.

I LIKE OTHER COUNTRY ARTIST ALSO, BUT I STILL FEEL THAT HE SHOULD BE RIGHT UP THERE WITH THE REST.

ANYWAY, THANKS FOR REPLYING TO MY POST. NO ONE EVER DOES. I APPRECIATE IT. AND WHAT YOU SAID DOES MAKE SENSE I GUESS. I APPRECIATE YOUR OPINION.
